Columbus, OH – March 2, 2019 — On Saturday, March 2nd, two teams of Centric employees battled it out at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace for a great cause: Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Ohio.
While enjoying some friendly competition, the Centric Employees were able to raise over $1000 for at-risk children in the Central Ohio area. This money will go to the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Ohio program to help match local children with mentors in their area, as well as send them to Camp Oty’Okwa to teach them about the outdoors.
This all-day event raised over $400,000 for the BBBS of Central Ohio organization! We couldn’t be happier to have been a part of this successful event and look forward to participating next year. Thank you to BBBS of Central Ohio for everything that you do!
About Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Ohio
Last year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio served more than 6,200 children through our mentoring programs plus Camp Oty’Okwa, and an additional 823 through our affiliated agencies. Youth facing adversity are more likely to want a mentor in their life, but less likely to have a mentoring relationship. By building strong, one-to-one, professionally-supported mentoring relationships to serve as a foundation for positive impact and life skills learning, Big Brothers Big Sisters helps close the opportunity gap that exists for far too many kids in our community.
