Centric got in the giving spirit and teamed up with WARM to provide Thanksgiving ingredients for the community.
On Saturday, November 18, Centric Columbus spent the morning handing out Thanksgiving meal necessities at the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM). All the ingredients for a full Thanksgiving feast were passed out at 18 different stations.
Included in the festivities were Thanksgiving favorites like turkeys, stuffing, pumpkins, and all types of produce to make for a well-rounded holiday meal. Our employees, alongside WARM staff and volunteers, made sure that each pantry attendee left with a car full of food and smiles!
This event, hosted annually by WARM, helps provide food over the holidays for more than 300 families in the Columbus area. We were happy to partner with WARM to help make the holidays a little more enjoyable for more Columbus families.
Victoria Slater, one of our nine employees who volunteered at the event, commented on how this ties into the company’s core value of igniting passion for the greater good:
“I love that Centric offers the opportunity for employees to get involved with the community, especially those less fortunate than us. It was great to get to work together to provide a Thanksgiving feast to members of the WARM food pantry. Not only did we put smiles on the faces of those we helped, it made us feel good too! It was a great way to spend the weekend before Thanksgiving and made me feel grateful for everything I have, including my job at Centric! Caroline did such an awesome job organizing it and I hope we can participate in more events with WARM in the future!”
Many thanks to employees Caroline Weist, Victoria Slater, Angie Abrams, Michael McKinney, Paige Allen, Mike Gonzalez and wife Emily for taking the time to participate!
We have a history of working with WARM. Last year, we hosted a hackathon to provide WARM with an inventory tracking system for their distribution center. We look forward to continuing our partnership with this great Columbus organization.
