A high-end appliance manufacturer implemented a new ERP solution with a different consulting partner, but missed the business insight and reporting capabilities that would enable them to operate their business more effectively. Despite a wealth of detailed transactions and data, they needed better ways to make both operational and strategic decisions.

Centric’s High-impact Approach

Centric helped the client prioritize their BI and reporting needs and developed a BI Roadmap. The team leveraged pre-packaged analytics from Oracle to quickly produce dashboards, metrics, reports and ad hoc requests. The Roadmap included implementing these analytic modules in phases based on functional area (procurement, supply chain, financials, etc). In order to go fast, each area was implemented out of the box and then tuned/customized for the specific client need. Because Oracle’s BI Analytic Applications are prebuilt, Centric’s emphasis was on validating the data in order to build high levels of user confidence in the results.

Centric Delivers

Centric led the BI implementation which included multiple go live events, each building on the breadth and depth of the solution. The tools allow the client to more efficiently analyze areas such as inventory levels and fulfillment rates, cash flows, AR balances, etc. Users are more proactive in solving issues, and leadership now has more information to help define future direction. The client is very happy with the BI implementation to date, and look forward to next phases of the rollout.
