This Magic Monday, we talk about four fundamental needs for your people during difficult times: trust, stability, compassion and hope.
A recent Gallup blog recorded four fundamental needs of employees everywhere, and especially right now, as current events continue to unfold: trust, stability, compassion, and hope.
This need is as true for us within Centric as it is for you, your employees and your clients or customers. As we all strive to achieve these fundamentals within our challenge is this: How can we inspire trust, stability, compassion and hope?
To start, the blog entry above provides three main suggestions, which are:
- Trust and Compassion: Be present, even when you’re distant.
- Stability: Prioritize well-being amid disruption.
- Hope: Anchor to your “True North.”
Encourage video meetings to engage with employees and customers to maintain a personal connection. And if you already do, keep it up!
As for the other two, remember that emotional exhaustion often relates directly to physical exhaustion – sometimes more than we may realize at first. A sudden lack of communication or downturn in production could potentially signal an opportunity to gently reach out with compassion to discover what may exist beneath the surface.
Lastly, in all things, creating a positive environment and experience for your clients and employees truly does make all the difference. Let that act as your “True North” whenever you wonder how to respond to a tricky situation, a difficult group, or a disgruntled individual. Then take the opportunity to deliver trust, stability, compassion and hope.
Stay dedicated and persevere.
