Centric Columbus continues to give back to the community. They recently served feasts at Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Centric Columbus has volunteered at Ronald McDonald House Charities for a few years, preparing and serving meals to dozens of families at the house. On September 30, 13 employees and relatives worked together to prepare and serve some tasty dishes.
Centric employees Alexandria Grumman and Patti Luther created the menu, shopped for supplies, and pre-cooked some meals.
Patti Luther said, “It is such an amazing opportunity to support these families during this difficult time with a home cooked meal! Comfort food is the language of love for me and such a privilege to give back in this way!”

The morning volunteers worked from 6:45 a.m. until 10 a.m. to prepare breakfast, which included sausage cheese balls, a French Toast bake, bacon, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit. The next shift worked from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. to prepare and serve the menu, which included chili, salad, cornbread, fruit and baked potatoes with a variety of toppings.
This community service event allowed employees to support the greater good and is in line with one of Centric’s core values to “ignite passion for the greater good.”
Alex Grumman reflected, “Winston Churchill said ‘We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.’ Being able to give to those families is so remarkable. Working for a company that places value in giving, reminds me that we all are so very lucky.”
About The Ronald McDonald House
For more than three decades, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC) has been keeping families close at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. From its beginnings as a grassroots movement established by a partnership between volunteers and local McDonald’s Owner/Operators, the charity has served thousands of families in their deepest times of need.
The reality of having a child sick and in the hospital can be incredibly overwhelming to parents and siblings. What the Ronald McDonald House is able to provide these families is a bit of stability in the midst of unthinkable circumstances. When a child is hospitalized, the healing power of having family nearby is beyond measure. It is this heartfelt purpose that both drives and defines RMHC of Central Ohio.
