In this edition of Couch Convo, our host John Kackley sits down with participants in Centric’s long-standing tradition, Camp IO. They discuss their submissions for the year and share insight into the time-honored event.
One of Centric Consulting’s most enjoyed traditions is Camp IO, its annual internal tech conference, which celebrated its 14th year. Connected to our all-company summer meeting, it has long been a great opportunity for our technologists to come together and share their thoughts on technology and creativity.
To share the fun and excitement of the event, we met with organizers Eric Galluzzo and Becky Gandillon, as well as award-winning presenters Robert Winton, Arindam Pal, and Jeff Aalto. We learned about how Camp IO has changed along with Centric over the years, but we especially focused on summaries of the presentations.
Winton’s presentation was about replicating the tools used by professional online poker players to enhance their winnings, Pal’s about training AI tools to create more artistic products, and Aalto’s is about using computer vision tools to automatically focus the filming of a soccer game on the movement of the soccer ball.
As always, our conversation revolves around the down-to-earth pleasure in teamwork and curiosity that Centric was built on. Join us to hear more!
