Ohio Business Magazine announces Centric Consulting is one of Ohio's Best Places to Work in 2020.
Centric Consulting received a spot in the top 75 Best Places to Work in Ohio for our fourth year. Ohio Business Magazine annually evaluates local companies to determine the best of the best in workplace culture and environment.
Although we're a national company, we have a local business model with many of our employees working remotely or at client sites in Ohio's largest cities: Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland. Due to COVID-19, the magazine's annual process took a little longer to collect nominations, which were then reviewed and approved by a committee. They experienced a significant increase in nominations this year. Someone at our company nominated us, and Ohio Business Magazine selected among 75 total companies to receive the Best Place to Work honor.
The honor serves as a testament to our culture. Centric intentionally upholds its culture, which we reflect in our core values, including Embracing Integrity and Openness, Committing to Delivery Excellence, and Living a Balanced Life.

Cincinnati
Our Cincinnati team is a founding partner of Flywheel Cincinnati, a Social Enterprise Hub that helps nonprofits become self-sustaining through alternate business models. The Cincinnati team also annually participates in and sponsors many great organizations both locally and nationally, such as: Give Back Cincinnati, Adopt-A-Class, Ronald McDonald House, and Make A Wish Foundation. We enjoy serving as a team at places like the Freestore Foodback that provides meals not only to Cincinnati, but across southwestern Ohio. We are passionate about making a difference in the cities we live in, not only for ourselves but for our clients as well. Cincinnati team members are also passionate about helping others by providing professional services. Every year we partner with the University of Cincinnati to provide a challenging, real-world case study competition that teaches students how to approach complex business problems and helps hone their technical and professional skills.
Columbus
Our Columbus team is known for regularly participating in community service events. This year our Columbus team has volunteered with ModCon to repair and renovate homes for low-income, elderly and disabled individuals in the region, prepared and served meals at the Ronald McDonald House for families with children undergoing treatment at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and sponsored and volunteered with The Adaptive Sports Connection to assist children, adults, and veterans with physical and cognitive challenges through sports and therapeutic outdoor recreation. The team has also participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio's event "Bowl for the Kids' Sake" and raised over $1,000 in donations, and volunteered our time with students at Ohio University (OU). Over the past four years, Centric's Columbus team has been engaging in recurring projects with the Management Information Systems (MIS) students at OU. These projects intend to provide the students with real-world learning as they quickly approach graduation and the start of their careers. The students get exposure to real-time pressures and working conditions through a simulated application development project, where Centric plays the role of the client. Centric employees have a chance to interact with students, help with their professional development, and mold students into better future employees. We've also donated funds to the organizations mentioned above and to several other organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association and the SafeLite Autoglass Foundation. We love being able to contribute to our community.
Cleveland
In 2019, Centric Cleveland combined social events, community service events, and monthly staff meetings. Recent examples include a raffle at Centric bowling events in which proceeds went to a local charity and providing cleaning services to the local Boys & Girls Club, after a staff meeting -- along with a spirited game or two of ping-pong. The Cleveland team donated hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to causes across Northeast Ohio thanks to a commitment to ignite a passion for the greater good. Here are half of the organizations that Cleveland employees have contributed their time and money to Boys and Girls Club, Medworks, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Laura's Home, Stuff the Bus, the Hope Lodge, Miles 4 Kyle, Cleveland City Dogs, Oberlin Community Services, The HERP Project, YMCA, American Heart Association, Make A Wish Foundation, Volunteers of America, Shoes and Clothes for Kids, Providence House, CLE Indians Charities, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Lymphoma Society, J. Glenn Monthly Food distribution, Goodwill, MedWish, Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
