Centric Consulting’s Chris Martinez talked at the South Florida PMI Dinner about how conversational user interfaces and chatbots are disrupting projects and how VUI has exploded in popularity.
The South Florida chapter of PMI holds a monthly dinner to spread awareness of global advocacy, collaboration, education, and research. This month we shared our insights on Voice User Interface (VUI) technology.
On April 11, a crowd of over 100 industry leading project managers heard Centric Consulting’s Principal Architect Chris Martinez deliver an engaging presentation on VUI technology – and its future impact on not only consumer interactions but also project management.
During his presentation, Chris presented case studies about how conversational user interfaces and chatbots are disrupting the project world.
He discussed how VUI has exploded in popularity over recent years with voice technologies like Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, and Google Home, making their way into our personal lives, helping us find directions, turning on the lights in our home and playing our favorite music only by using our voice.
The success of voice-enabled personal assistants is ushering in VUI as one of the next disruptions in business computing.
In line with the theme of the evening, we congratulated the Bullitt Group’s Cecilia Poveda, who won the drawing for an Amazon Echo Dot.
