Centric is continuing to build its capability to meet the growing demand for Agile by hosting a second two-day Agile training course. In February, Linda Farrenkopf, Centric’s National Agile Service Offering Lead, organized a private training session for Centric employees. The class was held on Feb. 13th and 14th, in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Chuck Suschek, a nationally recognized agile leader lead the scrum.org certification training sessions.
The two-day class was designed to help Centric employees sharpen their skills and build their understanding of agile principles and practices. Team exercises held during the training got all attendees involved. One of the exercises, “Scrum Topics,” required each attendee to lead a separate discussion on a Scrum related topic. Participants not only increased their Agile skills but are now also prepared to obtain the highly sought after Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) Certification.
More than 20 employees from Centric’s Boston, Cincinnati, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Tampa locations, as well as those from Centric’s National Energy and Utilities and Insurance practices, were in attendance. To date half of the attendees have taken and passed the PSM I certification. Congratulations to Centric’s Ganesh Jayaram, Erik Gfesser, Smriti Madan, Karishma Grewal, Dana Householder, Dave Sebek, Luke Zemanek, Kent Oldmixon, and Dan Valerian on becoming Professional Scrum Masters!
