Work Experience
I lead the National Insurance Practice at Centric. I have more than fifteen years of experience serving some of the largest P&C carriers as a trusted technology consultant, combined with over four years as a technology leader at a major P&C carrier.
At Centric, I have found a place in perfect alignment with who I am and what I want to accomplish. Whether it involves core system work, such as Guidewire maintenance & implementation, digital strategies & implementation, BI and analytics, optimizing product definition, process excellence or more, we find ways to help, in a way that is right for you.
I embrace the challenges of the insurance industry and look forward to participating in shaping it as we move forward. As I have progressed through my career, I have developed a perspective that spans both consulting and industry.
I have been fortunate enough to lead major transformations, develop and implement IT strategies, build roadmaps and business cases, leverage predictive analytics, implement digital solutions and modernize core systems. I have done this in Policy/Underwriting, Claims, and Distribution; and the best part is that I haven’t even come close to seeing it all. Most importantly, I have gained deep and lasting relationships and an understanding of the importance of unmatched experiences and a balance between strategy and pragmatism.
Get to Know Me
I am married with two teenage daughters. I spend a great deal of time being a dance prop dad, attending choral concerts, and supporting school activities, but I would not have it any other way. I can occasionally be found at a local brewery, where I’ll bend your ear about building a home theater or I may throw out a farm story or two if given the chance.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Early in my career, I was given the advice to embrace opportunities as they come along. We have a tendency to be prescriptive about how we would like our careers to progress. I have learned to embrace the challenges that come before me and to leverage the experiences I’ve gained.
What energizes and brings you excitement?
I am energized and passionate about solving the problems we see in the insurance industry. It is an amazing time where innovation, digital engagement and general open-mindedness exist more than ever before. The challenges are daunting in our industry but making a difference is achievable.
What’s your hidden talent?
I have an Electrical Engineering background and possess a patent for a radar optimization algorithm.
