Cleveland Market Development Executive

At Centric, I am responsible for raising our profile in the Cleveland market: directly with new clients, with potential consultants to join our team and broadly by finding unique, local marketing opportunities.

I’ve been involved in IT in northeast Ohio for more than twenty years, as a business founder, in sales/marketing roles and as Executive Director of OHTec, the regional technology association. While with OHTec, I created the Best of Tech Awards, Cleveland Tech Week, and the CoolTech Challenge; I also launched a tech-oriented legislative advocacy practice as well as workforce development services for member companies.

Prior to OHTec, I founded and was managing partner of 4 Point Solutions, a custom software and web development company that served clients throughout northeast Ohio. I’m a current board member of the Akron/Canton chapter of CompTIA/AITP and serve on IT advisory boards at Kent State University and the University of Akron.

I’ve earned a BSBA in Marketing from the University of Akron and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University and I’ve been recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business as Who’s Who in Cleveland Technology and 150 People to Know in Cleveland Business.

Get to Know Me

I’m a proud father of three incredible children and grandfather to one little boy who is beyond precious. Our children are early in their professional lives and have all moved from the region; while we miss them dearly we are thrilled to see them spread their wings and be successful.

Outside of work and family, I’m an avid local hiker and nature photographer; both are fun hobbies that go well together. I’ve enjoyed seeing my photography skills improve and am proud to share that a recent shot was selected for an exhibit in Akron, Ohio!

What’s your favorite book and why?

My favorite book is Shogun; the story and characters are so rich and vivid and it was an incredible means to learn about a time in Japan’s history. I think I’ve read it three or four times.

What’s your favorite trip you’ve ever taken and why?

I can’t pick one trip but I have so many fond memories of annual east coast beach vacations as my kids were growing up. We all enjoyed relaxing for 7 to 10 days up and down the east coast, from Ocean City to Hilton Head.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

If I didn’t have to sleep, I’d definitely read more and also learn a new skill, something I could learn or work on in the overnight hours.
