Centric ranked eighth out of all medium-sized nominated companies in the region as one of Columbus’s best places to work.
Columbus Business First has recognized Centric Consulting as one of the best places to work in Central Ohio in 2022.
Columbus Business First’s annual program honors the most remarkable companies in the region through the support of the external research firm Quantum Workplace. Quantum determines and ranks the companies exclusively based on employees’ responses to its Best Places to Work Survey, which includes 30 questions about company culture and leadership.
“We are very honored to be named the best place to work again. This award validates that our efforts to create unmatched experiences for our employees and create an amazing culture are worth it,” said Andy Gurd, Columbus Practice Lead.
Our Columbus practice was established in 2001 as Centric’s first local business unit. With more than 50 employees in the region, the team aims to create unmatched employee experiences through programs and personal touches. The leadership team regularly keeps tabs on who is celebrating a life event or needs some TLC and reaches out to connect. Since Centric employees work remotely, the company formed special interest groups based on employees’ similar hobbies and interests, so employees have common ground to interact in and out of work. The company also hosts several in-person events yearly.
The Columbus team facilitates many give-back events so employees can get involved in community service. This year Columbus employees volunteered with ModCon to help fix up someone’s house and yard. They also held a Thanksgiving food drive where people could drop off canned goods or donate specific items to the food drive.
“Centric is a company where you are recognized for who you are and what you do,” said Gurd. “It is a very special place that feels like family.”
