Crain’s Chicago Business has again named Centric Consulting’s Chicago practice as one of the region’s 100 Best Places to Work.
Based on nominee programs, benefits and an employee survey coordinated by the Best Companies Group, 2023 is the fourth year Crain’s has recognized the international consulting company’s Chicago practice. Flexibility was a strong theme in this year’s award program. Centric has always focused on flexibility and work-life balance for its employees, including operating with a fully remote workforce since its founding 25 years ago as well as a self-managed paid time off (PTO) program.
Centric’s Chicago practice serves some of the biggest global brands across the city’s 230 square miles. Though they serve a huge area, the team has a reputation for delivering personal, unmatched experiences to their clients.
Chicago Practice Lead Amy McJoynt noted employees value giving back as well as serving clients. For example, practice employees have volunteered multiple times for Care For Friends, a nonprofit that works to improve the lives of the city’s unhoused populations.
“At our January offsite meeting, we packed up over 100 toiletry bags for distribution in the winter months ahead,” McJoynt said. “It was a great way to work together and provided needed help to our community.”
From Cubs and White Sox games to boat tours and outings at the local establishments, the team invests in their culture and in being a part of the Chicagoland area.
“Honestly, I am not surprised our team is being honored again this year, as it further validates our core values that every Centric employee feels and lives every day,” Chicago’s Operational Excellence Lead Nishant Awasthi said. “Our ability to be a part of the Chicago community while delivering remarkable work reflects our commitment to work-life balance.”
