Comparably selected Centric Consulting as one of the strongest national representations of workplace culture.
Centric Consulting, a digital, business and technology consulting firm, recently received both the Best Company Culture award and the Best Companies for Women award from career-data company, Comparably.
Comparably bases the awards entirely on employee feedback and evaluates categories such as leadership, compensation, work-life balance and benefits.
Both awards come as Centric celebrates its twentieth year in business.
“We consider recognition like this to be among the greatest honors our company could receive. We started the company to be happy and set out to build the best culture in the consulting industry. We wondered why you couldn’t have a culture that is fun, celebrates the individual, with no politics, where your co-workers are also great friends,” said Centric President Larry English.
“Our core purpose is to provide unmatched experiences for our clients and our people. This award is an incredibly rewarding way to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We will continue to invest heavily in continuing to grow and improve our culture in the years to come.”
Centric has seven core values that guide decision making and influence company culture. For Jen Barnes, Practice Lead of Centric St. Louis, those values are why she chose Centric.
“As a professional, and as a woman, Centric’s core values make me whole. I know every day that I get to be the same exact person at work as I am at home. We focus on integrity, belonging, vulnerability, and putting our clients’ best interests ahead of our own,” Barnes says. “We use words like “creating unmatched experiences” and “being human” because it’s who we are at our core. Our values allow me not just to be myself – but actually be the very best version of myself.”
Comparably chooses the winners for the award based on a 50-plus question employee survey covering 20 core culture categories.
“Fostering an exceptional workplace culture means providing a positive work environment, from fair compensation and great perks to outstanding leadership and career advancement opportunities,” said Comparably CEO Jason Nazar. “The businesses on our annual list had the top ratings by employees on Comparably.com, beating out tens of thousands of companies to claim their rightful place among the best places to work of 2019.”
Comparably releases four different awards each quarter, giving out the most notable awards given at the end of the year: Best Places to Work, Best CEOs, Best Companies for Women, and Best Companies for Diversity.
