Centric Charlotte annually gives back to their local community by assisting with gift shopping at the Matthews HELP Center.
Members of the Charlotte team make it a point to volunteer their time each year at the Matthews Help Center’s Holiday Support Program.
Each year, the team has a great time working with MHC to fulfill their mission of assisting local community members in need. They have the opportunity to assist local community members in shopping for holiday gifts for their families.
“Of all the community events that the Charlotte team participates in, the Mathew Help Center has to be the most rewarding by far. Since the start of our operating group, I haven’t missed a single year. It’s a pleasure to help serve families in need and provide them with the means to celebrate the holidays with their families. We connect with them immediately as they begin to tell us about the kids they are shopping for while helping them navigate the room full of new items (toys, books, sports items, bicycles, and so on). At the end, we witness their smiles and tears of gratitude as we carry out for them the multiple large bags of gifts and help load them into their vehicle. I truly feel blessed to get this opportunity year after year,” said Senior Manager Chuck Harshey.

Not only is it a privilege for the Charlotte team to volunteer, it falls under our core value to “Ignite Passion for the Greater Good,” which we strive to live out as much as possible.
Whitney Fraser, Manager, said “We help local families shop for holiday gifts that have been donated by others in the community. It’s so rewarding to see their faces light up, knowing that they will have presents under the tree for their children.”
