Cincinnati, OH – May 14, 2013 — Several members of the Cincinnati team hosted their annual Adopt A Class Reds Game outing with a fourth-grade class from Winton Hills Academy.
The entire group enjoyed a day at the ballpark when the Cincinnati Reds took on the Atlanta Braves.
Centric Cincinnati’s participation lasts for more than just one day, however. The team adopted the class and has been their pen pals all year with monthly lunch visits and class parties.
This is the third year the team has participated in the program.
About Adopt A Class
Adopt A Class Foundation (AAC) is an area non-profit [501©(3)] mentoring program designed to facilitate personal, sustained connections between members of the business community and students enrolled pre-kindergarten through 8th grades. Adopt A Class helps establish mentor relationships with the purpose of providing positive role models and developing practical and social skills for the students and building the culture of philanthropy and teamwork for the business or community group.
Schools participating in the AAC program have significantly high levels of poverty where most children participate in free lunch programs. Poverty creates more than the obvious financial strain for children. It can also create an inconsistency that prevents proper development in mental, physical, social and emotional health. Learn more
