Work Experience
I serve as Centric’s GRC practice lead, where I focus on helping companies derive the most value out of their GRC programs and processes.
For over 15 years, I have worked in the GRC domain, with experience in both the Financial Services and Technology industries. With over a decade building GRC programs and leading organizational change, I am at my best when I am enabling collaboration and strategy between technical teams and business leaders.
People tend to think about technology first when it comes to GRC. However, a successful long-term GRC program and strategy require putting people and processes first. I partner with clients to establish stakeholder buy-in and build a long-term strategy that addresses their GRC needs.
Get to Know Me
I have spent my entire career in the Indianapolis, IN area, where I live with my wife, three kids, and two dogs. It is a busy season for us, as all three kids are involved in youth sports. I have spent time coaching my kids’ basketball and lacrosse teams, as well as serving on the local youth lacrosse board. My family loves to visit new places on vacation, and we usually alternate between beach and mountains.
While I live in Indy, I grew up in Michigan and am a huge Detroit sports fan.
I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais, IL) with a degree in engineering, and went on to earn my MBA from Anderson University (Anderson, IN).
What’s the best trip you’ve ever taken and why?
In 2019, I went on the adventure-of-a-lifetime, backpacking through Patagonian Argentina and Chile with my college roommates. I’ll remember the breathtaking views my whole life. Spending time in the wilderness was character building, and I learned a lot about my resilience and faith during those hikes.
What’s your favorite memory?
My favorite memory is being in the delivery room with my wife for the birth of our daughter. Nobody can prepare you for the rush of emotions you feel when you become a parent for the first time. It was literally a life-changing moment.
