About Make-A-Wish
Make-A-Wish is a non-profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America was founded in 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona. It all began because of the simple dream of a boy named Chris. A small group of people helped this very ill little boy achieve his wish – to be a state trooper for a day. Since then, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has grown into the largest and most professional wish granting organization in the world with 62 chapters in the U.S. To date, the Foundation has granted more than 230,000 wishes worldwide.
