In their ninth year, Centric India’s new office embodies our core values.
Now celebrating its ninth anniversary, Centric India recently opened its new physical office in Sector-58, Gurgaon, Haryana, just 30km, about 20 miles, from New Delhi.
But it’s no ordinary office space.
A direct result of Centric India’s growth from a handful of employees in 2016 to a peak of 500 in December 2025, the building’s first mission was to provide more space. After deciding to select a new building instead of renovate the old one, a core building committee of about seven people set out to find not just any space, but the right space — a space that would be the physical embodiment of Centric’s culture.
“We visited numerous offices across India, and our visits reinforced our vision of a workspace committed to openness, transparency, flexibility and fun,” explained Centric India Marketing Lead Palak Rana.
Rana added that many offices the team toured were like Centric India’s previous space — a small office with limited seating, little decoration and barriers between work areas.
“We saw spaces where people were just sitting and working,” Rana said. “They often lacked collaborative areas, and when informal seating was available, it typically couldn’t accommodate more than a handful of employees. And not many of them had separate training spaces, which is one feature we knew we wanted.”
Centric India leaned hard into Centric’s branding, too. In fact, an entire sub-team dedicated itself to working on branding.
“We wanted to leave no doubt that when employees and clients walk into the space, they are walking into Centric,” said Rana. “As soon as you enter, you know you are in an exciting, different place because of all the bright colors and logos we incorporated.”
However, the new design isn’t just window dressing. It’s flexible seating arrangements, carefully placed open spaces, and amenities like an outdoor terrace and cafeteria incorporate Centric’s culture into the design. Seeing the building now, it’s easy to see how every area exemplifies Centric’s core values.
Responsible Stewardship
From the start, responsible stewardship drove Centric India’s new building.
“Before we had this space, if we wanted to hold a big business unit meeting or training, we would rent a hotel,” Ranak said. “We wanted to cut down on that cost, and the best way to do that was to have a training space within the office. We are grateful to have that now.”
Passion for the Greater Good
“Centric India employees are very passionate about giving back to society,” Rana said, citing its work with the Humkunt Center and Welfare Home for Children as examples.
The new office provides a hub for Centric India’s Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) teams to meet and organize community events.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to create an exceptional culture and spaces where people are motivated to connect, talk, and do great things together,” Palak said.
Delivery Excellence
The best example of the new building’s commitment to delivery excellence is its White Room, which the team created to meet the needs of a specific client.
“Our idea when designing the new White Room was to ensure adequate space and create a positive environment with interesting visual elements on the walls,” Rana said.
The client who requested the White Room recently audited it. “They shared that they are very happy with the new space and how it meets their needs,” Palak added.
Strive to Innovate
Members of Technophilia, Centric India’s voluntary innovation program, also have high hopes for the new space. Established in 2022, Technophilia gives employees opportunities to hold tech talks and write blogs about new trends, technologies, and ideas.
“The expanded space is just right for Technophilia. It allows participants to host sessions in person or a hybrid environment rather than exclusively online,” Rana said. “That creates the potential for even richer collaboration.”
Balanced Life
As comfortable as the new space is, Rana noted that people will still get tired and want to step away from work periodically to recharge. The new space offers several areas designed for those opportunities.
“In addition to our training center, we have a beautiful cafeteria designed as a small amphitheater,” Rana shared. “The cafeteria also includes a pool table for employees to use during breaks, and we encourage them to step away from work periodically.”
Another distinctive feature is the private terrace. “The terrace allows people to go outside and take a walk, so you don’t necessarily have to go down and exit the building to get fresh air. You can just walk out on the terrace,” said Rana. The terrace also features an outdoor seating area so employees can meet outdoors.
Exceptional Culture
The new facility also provides opportunities for meaningful interactions between leadership and staff.
For example, Centric India leadership team members served ice cream to employees during a recent ice cream social event, facilitating informal conversations in a relaxed setting. The spacious layout and varied seating arrangements make such culture-building activities easier to organize and more effective.
Integrity and Openness
Unlike the previous compact space with limited seating, the new office’s open-plan layout features minimal divisions between work areas.
“In our previous office, it was hard for people to connect,” Rana observed. “Here, we have various seating arrangements—casual, semi-casual, meeting rooms and booths. These options create a free environment where employees can easily move around, connect with colleagues, and not be confined to their desks.”
And speaking of seating, even the selection of chairs for the new space became a cultural moment.
“During our annual meeting, we conducted an activity where employees could vote on their preferred office chairs from a shortlist of 10-15 options,” Rana explained. “Our participatory approach not only resulted in practical furniture selections but also generated enthusiasm among employees about the new space.”
Results that Speak for Themselves
The new office began demonstrating its positive impact soon after it opened in March 2025. Employee attendance in the building has increased over the old space, with more team members coming to the office rather than working from home.
Visiting clients have also been impressed, with some hosting their meetings in the new space. As Centric India continues to grow, their thoughtfully designed office will continue to offer an innovative space that’s a far cry from offices that can feel like interchangeable boxes.
“I’m excited that we’ve been able to create something practical, fun and efficient,” Rana said. “Our new office is just right for us — a place intentionally designed to facilitate Centric’s business and culture for years to come.”
