The HIMSS North Carolina chapter has appointed Greg Foster, National Healthcare Co-lead, to its 2020-21 Board of Directors.
National Healthcare Co-lead, Greg Foster has been newly appointed to the NC Chapter of HIMSS 2020-2021 Board of Directors.
Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc, or HIMSS, is a worldwide organization offering thought leadership to maintain the healthcare ecosystem’s growth through tech. “HIMSS on-going success and value is deeply dependent on volunteers. Those starting an IT career in healthcare and folks with years of experience have a wonderful opportunity to learn, share and grow, especially in these challenging times,” Greg said.
Greg joined the Board after benefitting throughout his career years as an active HIMSS member. The NC chapter asked him to step into the role of Board member after several years of volunteering. “It’s great to have the opportunity to give back to an organization that means so much to me,” he said.
He is particularly excited about the annual HIMSS conference, which is in November.
This year, the Program Committee will focus on two special interest groups that provide fantastic opportunities to connect and grow your career, skills and network: Women in Healthcare IT and Virtual Healthcare. Click here for more information.
