Between now and December 15 you can make a difference in a child’s life. Donations are being accepted for Boston children in need to keep them warm and safe this winter.
The Cradles to Crayons initiative focuses on an all-important goal: to make life better for children in need. To make this happen, it takes a wide variety of individuals and groups coming together to make a difference in their local communities.
Over 400,000 children in Massachusetts live in low-income housing or homeless situations, without this initiative those children will face the winter without the essentials required for safety. There are different ways you can help – donate, volunteer at events, donate winter clothes or host a drive.
Centric Boston has been volunteering for this cause since 2015 and this year, on November 14, volunteers will gather to give their time and donations to the cause. This is a family-friendly event. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their families, helping hands can be as young as five years old.
We’d like to encourage everyone to make at least a small contribution – $33 provides a winter coat, hat and gloves for 1 child. Please join Centric Boston in their effort to keep children warm and safe this winter!

About Cradles to Crayons
Formally launched in 2002, Cradles to Crayons provides, free of charge, packages of clothes, shoes, books, toys, baby safety equipment and school supplies to children in Massachusetts and the Philadelphia area. Last year alone the organization assisted 87,000 children with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play.
Working in close partnership with social workers, nurses, teachers, and therapists, Cradles to Crayons has become a trusted resource: to children and families in need; to the organizations who serve those families; and to families, corporations, and individuals who seek ways to make a tangible difference in their own communities.
