Hilary Lee, National People and Change Practice Lead, has been recognized as a 2024 Notable Latino Leader by Crain’s Chicago Business.
Centric Consulting’s People and Change practice lead Hilary “Hil” Lee has been recognized as a 2024 Notable Latino Leader by Crain’s Chicago Business. This recognition celebrates top Latino business leaders in Chicago who demonstrate exceptional leadership and significantly contribute to their industry and community.
In her role, Lee oversees the Centric’s National People and Change practice, which encompasses organizational change management and technology adoption; enterprise change management, workforce agility, including organization design; and culture and enablement. Lee leads a team of more than 30 practitioners across the country and drives more than $30 million in annual revenue across client engagements.
“Hilary and her team help clients across a wide range of industries empower and enable their biggest asset — their people — through large-scale change,” said Mark Buchynski, Vice President of Centric’s Chicago practice. “She is one of Centric’s strongest relationship builders, developing deep, trusted long-term client relationships whether she’s leading a complex project or large staff augmentation.”
Blazing Trails in Technology Consulting
Before joining the management consulting industry, Lee held careers in teaching and investment banking. When she started consulting, her goal was to be a firm partner. In 2022, Lee achieved this milestone by becoming the first Latina partner in Centric’s history and one of the youngest to achieve this position.
“Hilary exemplifies the transformative leadership we value at Centric Consulting,” said Buchynski. “Her ability to build deep, trusted client relationships while fostering an inclusive environment for our team members sets a powerful example for our entire organization. We are honored to know and work with Hil in such a meaningful way.”
Lee’s client service and technical leadership were further recognized when she was named one of Consulting Magazine’s 2022 Women Leaders in Technology.
Advancing Diversity and Inclusion
Beyond her professional achievements, Lee is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace. As the leader of Juntos, Centric’s Hispanic and Latino/a/x employee resource group (ERG), she creates opportunities for networking, professional collaboration, and community investment.
“Hilary’s passion in advocating for our Juntos ERG does not go unseen,” said Jazmin Cook, Operations Manager at Centric Consulting. “She has created a space where our Hispanic community can connect, share our experiences, and grow together. Her leadership and dedication have significantly impacted our organization’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, fostering a more inclusive workplace.”
