Get to Know Me
My partner and I live in Tucson, the first UNESCO City of Gastronomy, and as such, we take advantage of the local foodie scene whenever possible. Despite the diminished time spent riding my bike on the roads of Tucson, I enjoy teaching indoor cycling classes weekly.
In our spare time, we enjoy visiting my mom on the farm in Iowa or traveling internationally with family.”
What’s the best trip you’ve ever taken and why?
One of my most memorable trips was to Italy over New Year’s with my mother and taking pictures from the top of a tower in the walled city of San Gimignano. The views were amazing!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
“Slow down to go faster.” It is so easy to get lost in the chaos and pace of daily life. Taking a moment to pause and reflect can provide the needed validation of the decisions and directions we take.
Who inspires you and why?
My parents who lived by example, teaching us about accountability, acceptance, and diversity as we grew up on our rural Iowa farm.
