Oracle / WorkDay Integration Project
Integrating WorkDay on an Aggressive Schedule
The Business Need
Two Midwest utility companies were part of a large global utility conglomerate, with each company running its own separate Oracle ERP solution. When the parent company decided to combine HR data around the world (Oracle, SAP, etc) into a global WorkDay environment, both companies needed to move some HR processing to the global solution while keeping their current ERP solutions intact, for other HR processes and functional areas that would remain on their separate platforms.
Centric’s High-impact Approach
The client selected Centric to integrate the multiple EBS environments within the global WorkDay solution. To do this, Centric provided PM Support, Functional Architects, Technical Architects and Developers that supported the global project team for WorkDay, leveraging a hybrid agile approach.
Centric’s deep-skilled resources adapted quickly to the methodology, creating a solution that maintained global data integrity and preserved the local ERP environments. In order to promote end user adoption, Centric mapped WorkDay to Oracle end-to-end processes and provided multiple reports for quick reconciliation.
The Centric team was able deliver on the aggressive timelines, working across a mix of consulting resources from around the world. Centric created 22 conversion files and 5 integration points for both companies converting over 6,000 employees’ core HR data and compensation details. The solution for the US-based team had the lowest issues amongst the global team.
