Crain’s Chicago Business Named Us One of the City’s 100 Best Places to Work in 2019 and One of the Best Large Companies!
Partnering with Best Companies Group, Crain’s Chicago Business surveyed over 26,000 employees in Chicago to narrow down the best 100 places to work in the area. Basing their results on the 14,000 responses received, Crain cultivated the top 100 list using select criteria that employees find to be most important.

Centric Consulting’s Chicago team placed 52 on the Best Places list and 13 on the Large Companies list. We celebrated at Crain’s 2019 Best Places to Work Awards luncheon, which took place on April 11, at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. Nine local employees represented us at the event: Mark Buchynski, Mark Federman, Eddie Francl, Ted Goodman, Robbie Moran, Sean Neben, Chris Shaw, Maria Smithson, and Lisa Wrezel.
Attendees enjoyed meeting with 450 other employees of great companies.
Peter Burke of the Best Companies Group, the firm hired to conduct the research, told the crowd:
“Our research discovered the great, the not-so-great and even some pretty ugly,” he said. “But you in this room . . . have achieved success where many have fallen short. You have created workplace cultures where employees love to come to work.”
About the Program
Crain’s has highlighted the local companies rated highest by their employees since 2008. In a wide-ranging questionnaire, employees are asked about everything from workplace comforts to benefits and culture. More than 4,500 employees participated in this year’s survey. The ranked list of all 100 finalists and details about each winner will appear in Crain’s April 15 print issue.
