On May 5th, a passionate team of people from our Columbus location donated their Saturday to renovating a local home in need for Rebuilding Together Central Ohio.
The group gathered at 8 a.m. and quickly got to work, breaking into groups with different skill sets and tasks.
Highlights of the work included:
- Cleaning the gutters
- Trimming branches
- Power washing siding
- Repairing fencing
- Replacing smoke alarms
- Removing a tree stump
While completing our work, we had the pleasure of working with our honorary house captain, John Hamilton, who has been helping Centric with RTCO for many years.
Here’s what he had to say: “I have been working with Centric for several years now and it has been a wonderful experience every year. This group has been especially great; thank you for all of your help.”
The homeowners reflected the same appreciation.
While we were one of the smallest teams present, we were the first to finish our tasks and definitely the team with the best attitude and strongest spirit.
Thank you to Ben Kister, Kyle Priest, Mara Belcher, Caroline Weist, Michael McKinney, Megan Coddington, and Brian Loux for making a serious impact in their community this past Saturday.
We have been working alongside Rebuilding together Central Ohio for many years and we expect to continue the tradition. If you’d like to join us next year in making a difference, mark your calendar for early Spring 2019!
