Consulting Magazine named Amy McJoynt a Strategic Impact Leader for leading a multiyear enterprise consolidation program.
Consulting Magazine has named Amy McJoynt, director and Chicago practice lead at Centric Consulting, one of 17 honorees in the Strategic Impact Leader category of its 2026 Women Leaders in Consulting awards.
In its 21st year, the program recognizes women for excellence in their fields and for their lasting impact on their clients. Industry luminaries and members of the magazine’s editorial board choose the honorees.
“The impact of women’s leadership on the consulting profession simply cannot be overstated,” said Michael A. Webb, director and editor in chief of Consulting Magazine. “These honorees epitomize the character and strategic vision that make a measurable difference for their clients while setting new standards of excellence that drive the global consulting profession into the future.”
McJoynt was recognized for leading a three-year consolidation program for a large insurance brokerage client, moving 25 divisions onto a single broker management and document management platform. She built the program from the ground up, creating six cross-functional teams, defining the governance and operating models, and overseeing training and change management.
McJoynt also gave the new program team a clear framework for future acquisitions, including repeatable conversion approaches, standardized training, and a complete set of playbooks and templates.
“What stands out most about Amy is her ability to lead through complexity while bringing others along with her. This program reflects that,” said Erica Camiliere, director, Chicago Business Unit. “She created meaningful results for the client, but just as importantly, she invested in the growth of the team around her. We’re proud to see her receive this recognition and grateful for all she’s done for our clients, our Chicago team, and the people she’s mentored along the way.”
The honor comes as McJoynt prepares to retire at the end of 2026. Before joining Centric, she spent 23 years in technology roles at a large human resources and benefits consulting firm. There, she started as a developer and rose to program leader, overseeing onshore and offshore teams.
At Centric, she has supported the Chicago team through leadership, account management, and program delivery, specializing in insurance merger and acquisition integrations, as well as system implementations.
“My greatest achievement has been building and elevating teams and watching them succeed together,” McJoynt said. “What started as separate groups became a connected team of people who learned from one another, trusted one another, and stepped into new leadership opportunities.”
She says the advice that shaped her career is to leave every team, client, and community better than you found it. She also follows that principle as a volunteer with Scouting America, where Leave No Trace guides the work.
“As I near the end of my career, this program has been a highlight of my work,” she said. “The team grew tremendously, we accomplished meaningful outcomes, and we did it with collaboration, connection, and some laughter along the way. This recognition honors the collective effort of a team that learned together, supported one another, and made the workplace better than we found it.”
