Between now and Tuesday, November 1, you can help make a difference in a child’s life – by donating clothes to keep them warm this winter.
Centric Boston has partnered for the second year in a row with Cradles to Crayons, a local organization, to support their annual “Gear Up for Winter” program. Focused on preparedness, “Gear Up for Winter” distributes warm winter coats, hats and other essentials to local children before the temperatures drop.
The team will be accepting donations of new hats and gloves before delivering them Nov. 1 to the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory, along with volunteering their time.
Last year, the team raised $325 in donations, collected dozens of children’s winter hats and gloves, and filled 157 packages of school supplies for children ages 10 to 12. Centric Boston visited the Giving Factory to package and deliver the winter clothes.
If you live in the Boston area and would like to coordinate a donation pick-up, please contact Linda Stevens.
Or, you can contribute online. A donation of as little as $25 provides a winter coat, hat and gloves for one child.

Please join Centric Boston in their effort to keep children warm and safe this winter!
About Cradles to Crayons
Formally launched in 2002, Cradles to Crayons provides, free of charge, packages of clothes, shoes, books, toys, baby safety equipment and school supplies to children in Massachusetts and the Philadelphia area. Last year alone the organization assisted 87,000 children with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play.
Working in close partnership with social workers, nurses, teachers, and therapists, Cradles to Crayons has become a trusted resource: to children and families in need; to the organizations who serve those families; and to families, corporations, and individuals who seek ways to make a tangible difference in their own communities.
