Crain’s Chicago Business named us one of the city’s 100 Best Places to Work in 2020 as well as being one of the best places to work for large companies.
Partnering with Best Companies Group, Crain’s Chicago Business surveyed employees in Chicago to narrow down the best 100 places to work in the area. They based the results on the record 14,522 responses received before the pandemic hit — Crain cultivated the top 100 list using select criteria employees find to be most important.
While Best Company Group and Crain’s initially based a lot of their requirements around office life, they are still applicable to overall employee satisfaction achieved through the perks, amenities, pay and benefits that keep them happy and productive.
The criteria to make the list starts with Best Companies Group, an independent workplace excellence research firm, which conducted a two-part survey. The first part of the survey included an employer questionnaire used to collect information about benefits, policies, practices and other general information. The second part was a private 78-question employee questionnaire used to evaluate local employees’ workplace experience and culture.
Crain’s selected companies with some or all of the following perks:
- 401k Match
- 100% Paid Medical Premiums
- Unlimited PTO/Vacation
- Telecommuting Options
- On-Site Fitness Facility
- Tuition Reimbursement
- Career Development Programs
Centric Consulting’s Chicago team placed 93 on the Best Places list and 25 on the Large Companies list. You can see the full list here.
“When Centric’s culture was described to me I thought it sounded too good to be true. I joined and discovered that not only was every word true, but the firm is actively striving to become even better,” said Bruce Williams, Manager on our Chicago team.
While selected companies usually celebrate making the list in person, in April, this year, the award ceremony happened virtually in August.
“Centric is a special place, and it’s nice to, again, be recognized by Crain’s this year. It is great to be surrounded by people who are smart, creative, committed and tireless in their work ethic. It is our team that makes a difference – and why we love to come to work each day!” Amy McJoynt said.
