Team donates shelves and processes more than 1,800 pounds of food in day-long event.

Centric Columbus recently volunteered with the Healthy Worthington Resource Center and Food Pantry, an organization that distributes food and personal items to individuals and families in need residing in the Worthington, Ohio, area.

The team processed more than 1,800 pounds of food, work that ranged from assisting with delivery to sorting and stacking the shelves. The team also inventoried and upgraded the pantry’s laptops.

Before the event, Centric Columbus collected donations from the entire team to purchase three new shelves needed to move food from sorting to the storage facility. These shelves were then used during the volunteer day.

Bijal Patel organized the event. Other volunteers included: Yvette Stoltman, Mara Belcher, Brad Ward, Mike Rogers, Brad Smith and son Brandon, Julie Shaffer, Abby Cooley, Mike Gonzalez, Elaine Tonetti, Erynn Truex, Shawn Wallace, Reggie Hillery, Kathy Kessler, Greg Pendleton and Kyle Buggie.
