Centric Columbus had an awesome day Saturday, September 20, volunteering at The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition (TAASC) complex for the 3rd Annual Fall Warrior Event Weekend. This is the second year that Centric has participated in this event.

The mission of TAASC is to connect individuals with disabilities, their families, volunteers, and community organizations through a lifetime of adventure sports. They accomplish this by providing volunteer-driven adventure opportunities, promoting teamwork and fostering self-advocacy through coaching and mentoring. Some of the activities they bring to those with disabilities include alpine skiing and snowboarding, water skiing, kayaking, cycling, fishing, sailing, ice-skating and other sports opportunities.

The Annual Fall Warrior Weekend kicked off at 9 a.m. with the launch of more than 30 kayaks for various warriors and their families to take in a little fresh air and calm water. One brave Warrior decided to bring his service dog along for the ride, which was quite a struggle. First time volunteer, Hong Li worked tirelessly to make sure that Eli and Julius could enjoy the water together, it was a struggle, but they never gave up!

The volunteers from Centric Columbus included Aaron Williams, Hong Li, Joe van Bolderen, Mike Rogers, and Nagaraja (Raj) Hegde. Thanks to everyone for taking time out of their busy schedules to give back to the community in which we live and work!
