For the third year in a row, the Boston team collected winter clothes to keep Boston area children warm and prepared for the cold.
On November 14, our Boston team visited the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory for a volunteer evening. Together they worked to prepare packages of essential winter clothing items for Boston area children from as young as newborn to 12 years old.
This is the third year in a row that the Boston team supported the organization’s efforts to prepare individually tailored “KidPacks,” which are meant to provide children with items to help them stay healthy, playful and involved in school activities.
Leading up to the night, the Boston team donated winter coats, gloves and hats. In addition, the team sponsored a giving portal, collecting online donations from October 15 to December 15. Head to their website to donate now!
Many thanks to coordinators Jason Love and Meg Chute, and volunteers Errol Yudelman, Craig Holbrook, Russell Bracket, Brian Sedor, Kent Oldmixon, Joe Consigli, Jeff Aalto, and many of their family members!
About Cradles to Crayons
Cradles to Crayons launched in 2002 and has operations in Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago. The nonprofit provides children from birth through age 12 living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive—at home, at school, and at play.
They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities that need. Cradles to Crayons mobilizes communities of plenty on behalf of communities of need, recycling and reusing high-quality children’s goods and engaging thousands of youth and adults intangible service activities each year that benefit local children.
