I am mainly responsible for the recruiting and some staffing management and operations for the St. Louis team and the National Process Excellence Practice. I have over 18 years of experience in recruiting and HR management in both for-profit and not-for-profit arenas. I have recruited for a wide variety of positions, but the majority of my career I have been responsible for sourcing and attracting management and executive level talent across various disciplines, including accounting, business process management, change management, engineering, finance, IT, robotics, and sales.
I enjoy building relationships and getting to know the people that will bring the direction, vision, and strategy of the company to life. I enjoy hearing the stories about the careers and lives of people that I wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to meet. Get to Know Me
I am married and have three very active boys as well as one rescue beagle. My boys love sports and I spend a great amount of time hauling them around from their sports or school activities.
I love being outdoors, working out, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends and family. I have competed in half-marathons and sprint triathlons and striving to knock a few more off my bucket list before I reach the next decade. I also love finding new ways to secretly hide fruits and vegetables in my family’s food, which always bring a smile on my face! When I am not involved in one of these activities or giving non-stop belly rubs to my very spoiled beagle, I enjoy organizing and leading charity events with my church and community.
What is the best trip you’ve been on and why?
I had the opportunity years back to go to Honduras and spend some time with a special group of kids who are commonly called “street kids”. These are children (as young as 5 years old) who were no longer living in a home for various reasons and now trying to survive on the streets. It was such an eye-opening experience to be able to spend time with them and have the opportunity to shower them with love, encouragement, and an endless amount of hugs!
It was hard to leave behind the beautiful faces of these kids who are struggling to make sense of their circumstances. However, it was inspirational to see these kids, who are living in horrible conditions, have so much joy, hope, and a desire to not give up.
What is your hidden talent?
I have an almost-superpower-like ability to know the exact right thing to say that will embarrass my boys (especially when they are in a group of girls). I consider it a friendly pay-back for all of the times they didn’t finish their homework or chores on time, playing video games too long after bedtime, devouring all the food in the house, or unnecessarily picking at each other. If I can throw in a dab, floss, or even a whip and nay-nay, then that’s just bonus points for me!
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I would spend my time outdoors or at the beach. You would probably find me on the ocean paddle boarding, canoeing or parasailing. If water was not accessible, I would probably be outside hiking, playing tennis or hanging out with family and friends! If outdoors was not an option, I would probably be making a batch of cookies, trying new recipes with my InstaPot, trying to make people smile by telling really bad jokes, or watching/reading a suspenseful movie/book with my family.
