Focus, and Grow
What we focus on…expands. All we need to do is put pure intention and attention on what we want, so it can materialize in our lives. Be it health, career, personal, material or family goals, we can move the needle forward by simply putting our complete focus on what we really want. A big part of focus is to learn to stop paying attention to areas that do not really matter to us. So it is, at its core, taking the time to know who we are and what we want.
Once we identify what matters to us most, it becomes an easy next step to focus our energy into ideas, thoughts and actions all aligned in the same direction. This can also serve as a fairly easy guide to stop putting any energy into thoughts or actions that don’t fit into the framework of what we want.
This doesn’t mean we only do what we enjoy or prefer. It actually means identifying the right set of actions and executing them with pure focus to get us to where we want to be, knowing that we have to sometime get through actions that may be outside of our comfort zone.
Focusing also greatly helps to simplify our lives. While we continue to do what matters most to us and continue to enjoy the process, we can also benefit from having a more serene and restful life overall.
- Spend some time to truly understand who you are and what you want.
- Once you have a good understanding of what truly matters to you and you know what you want, then make it your true point of focus.
- Let go of things that do not matter to you.
