Centric Cincinnati develops recommendations for the Cincinnati Museum Center to improve technology and support consolidation efforts
This year, the Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) announced a merger with the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
To support this move, the Centric Cincinnati team developed a portfolio of recommendations pertaining to technology improvements that CMC might consider incorporating into their organizational restructuring and consolidation efforts.
Brief Description of our work:
CMC approached Centric with a request to evaluate the current state of IT, systems and supported business processes in order to help the organization understand the implications and future needs associated with a planned merger of CMC with the Freedom Center.
Centric was extremely excited about the opportunity to support two celebrated community icons as they moved through this process. Centric leveraged their proven Business Systems Assessment Methodology and analysis tools to:
- Facilitate focus group discussions with Cincinnati Museum Center and Freedom Center teams
- Develop a capabilities maturity model
- Recommend targeted technology investments required to support a fully merged organization
“The real success story was our ability to very quickly come together as a cohesive team,” said Andy Park, Centric Cincinnati’s director and practice lead. “Our collective team produced a high quality product for CMC in a very short timeframe and with limited resources. Time was of the essence and our ability to form a great partnering relationship led to the completion of a project that was on time and on budget. We have recently been asked to assist with some other IT advisory services. This is exactly that way our trusted advisor relationship is supposed to work and our clients love it. “
