Centric Chicago Hosted 3PM – Project, Program, and Portfolio Management
Centric Chicago presented the topic of Agile Methodology in the year’s first meeting of the 3PM (Project, Program, and Portfolio Management) special interest group on March 21.
Al Bayer and Patricia O’Shea of Cars.com served as hosts for the meeting as well as presented their experience around the Agile Methodology when delivering meaningful and impactful projects. Highlights included:
- Key differences between Waterfall and Agile Methodology
- Understanding the transition to Agile is a journey and there will always be continuous improvement
- A PMO role in the Agile space
- Training for stakeholders and team members on Agile is key
The event was a highly collaborative session that included local PMO executives interacting and discussing their experiences on the topic. Conversations developed around the current state of each executive organization in regards to Agile and where they hope to head in the future.
